Why Questioning Reality Sets You Free
Do you ever feel overwhelmed with the daily hustle and bustle of life? The endless tasks, the pressure to achieve, and the constant bombardment of news and technology can make us feel trapped. However, what if I told you that much of what we perceive as reality is just an illusion? By questioning what we take for granted, we can break free from this constructed reality and discover new possibilities.
I invite you to take a closer look at the world around you. It’s like taking the red pill in the movie “The Matrix”. Once you see beyond the illusions and manipulation, you can’t unsee it. You will start to see through the facade and understand that reality is not something that happens to us, but rather something we create with every thought, reaction, relationship, and choice we make. By questioning our beliefs and assumptions, we can expand our worldview and gain a new perspective on life.

Check Your Reality
First, let’s assess how much you are influenced by someone else’s version of reality. Please rate yourself on this 10-point test:
1. Do you spend more than 3 hours per day consuming media and social networks?
2. Does someone challenging your worldview make you angry or defensive?
3. Do you spend more hours per week interacting with screens than people?
4. Do you lack close friendships with people having different ideologies?
5. Does loyalty to your groups mean you overlook their flaws?
6. Are you uncomfortable spending much time alone without stimulation?
7. Does learning information contradicting your beliefs feel threatening?
8. Do you demonize or deny complexity in opposing political groups?
9. Are you mystified by the perspectives and choices of some other cultures or lifestyles?
10. Do you react emotionally when your assumptions get questioned?
After answering all the questions, tally your score. If your score is 5 or more, it indicates that you are over-immersed in narrow realities that are disconnected from the actual truth. But don’t worry, there’s no judgement here…
